Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light cream
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts - optional
Instructions:
Combine sugar, cream, milk and butter in heavy 3 qt. Saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil. Cook to soft ball stage [238 degrees F] without stirring. Remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm [110 degrees F] by placing pan in cold water. Add vanilla, beat vigorously until mixture thickens and begins to lose its gloss. Stir in chopped nuts and quickly spread into buttered pan or platter. Cut into squares.
Yield: 18 to 20 pieces
COMMENTS: Hmmm this one sounds interesting and I know brown sugar is often the main ingredient for all fudges so I am not quite sure why they call it that ~ however ~ it probably will NOT taste like brown sugar. Once brown sugar is cooked it tastes different. Let me know if you try this one please.
